During business trips, the recreational area was turned into a charging station
This time I came to Shajing, Shenzhen for a business trip and chose Venus Royal Hotel Shenzhen Shajing Qilin(Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center). Originally, I only planned to find a place to stay close to the convention center, but unexpectedly, the hotel's recreational facilities became my secret base for relieving fatigue. Even the three-day business trip became lively.
On the first day after checking in and putting down my luggage, I followed the signs towards the recreational area and the first thing I came across was a 25 meter long indoor heated swimming pool. The water quality is so clear that you can see the blue markings at the bottom of the pool. The water temperature is maintained at around 28 degrees Celsius all year round, and there is no piercing coolness when you first enter the water. The rest area on the shore is covered with soft anti slip mats, and clean disinfectant towels and warm water are provided for free. After swimming 100 meters, leaning against the pool to catch your breath, the wind gently blowing through the ventilation opening, the tension of the whole day's journey is completely relieved. The most considerate thing is that the swimming pool is open until 10 pm, so even if you are busy and return to the hotel at 9 pm, you can still relax by taking a two lap swim.
Next to the swimming pool is a 24-hour gym, so there's no need to rush into the open hours. You can work overtime until late at night and take a nap. The equipment is all professional grade, from treadmills, elliptical machines to dumbbell stands for strength training. The treadmill is facing a floor mirror, and when you run, you can see the garden plants outside the window without feeling stuffy. There are also free bottled water and sweat wipes in the corner of the gym, and several yoga mats for stretching after exercise are prepared, so you don't have to carry your own equipment on business trips.
To my surprise, there is also an elegant tea room hidden in the leisure area, with wooden tea tables paired with soft warm light. In the evening after finishing work, you can invite your colleagues to order a local Phoenix Dancong, without having to go out to find a tea house, and quietly chat about the plan. The leisure area next to it also has a pool table and a book bar. When you don't want to engage in intense exercise, you can play two games of pool or flip through half a book, completely ignoring the tense state of the exhibition.
My favorite thing is still the SPA center provided by the hotel. After running the exhibition, I felt a lot of back pain all over my body. I made an appointment in advance for an essential oil back massage, and the technician exerted just the right amount of force to fully massage the shoulder and neck soreness that had been standing for a whole day. After finishing, I went back to my room and fell into a deep sleep after lying on the bed for a while. I didn't even suffer from insomnia during regular business trips.

This time I came to the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center to participate in the exhibition, and after comparing everything, I finally chose Venus Royal Hotel Shenzhen Shajing Qilin(Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center). Originally, I only wanted it to be close to the exhibition hall and convenient for dining around. After staying for three days, the entire process from check-in to check-out completely exceeded my expectations.
I took a taxi from Shenzhen Bao'an Airport and arrived at the hotel in about twenty minutes. As soon as I arrived at the door, the doorman came up to pick up my luggage and guided me to the front desk to complete the procedures. The whole process took less than three minutes, and the staff specially gave me a handwritten guide around Shajing, indicating nearby night markets and time-honored restaurants, reminding me not to miss the local specialty oysters when I went shopping at night. The details were all thoughtful.
The moment I pushed open the room door, I was relieved of the exhaustion of rushing. The space was much more spacious than I expected, with transparent lighting and beige soft furnishings paired with light wood furniture, without any redundant decorations. The bedding was fluffy and soft, and I ran back to the hotel for two consecutive days. As soon as I lay on the bed, most of the soreness and bloating I felt throughout the day disappeared. The most surprising thing is the independent bathtub by the window. After taking a bath, go to the shower and take a hot shower, even the tense nerves are completely relaxed.
The hotel's facilities fully meet the needs of travel, with ample free private parking spaces, so there is no need to worry about finding a parking spot when driving here. The breakfast buffet in the morning has a wide range of categories. The freshly cooked soup and flour noodles are steaming hot, and the taste of Cantonese Dim sum is very authentic. You can enjoy the local flavor without going out. In the afternoon, taking a break from my busy schedule, I went to the hotel's swimming pool for two laps. The water quality was clean and transparent, and the resting area by the shore also provided free warm water and towels. The experience was not inferior to that of a professional venue.
Location is a plus point, just a few minutes' walk to Jingji Baina Square, surrounded by restaurants and convenience stores. After visiting the nearby night market and buying snacks at night, you can walk a few steps back to the hotel. It is only a 20 minute drive from Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center, so there is no need to leave one or two hours in advance in the morning to catch up with the exhibition, which can leave a lot of rest time. Even if I needed to print exhibition materials temporarily, the hotel business center could handle it for me in just a few minutes without any delay.
I used to think that most hotels near the exhibition hall only pursued convenience, and it was inevitable to settle in. However, during this stay, I realized that Venus Royal Hotel Shenzhen Shajing Qilin(Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center) strikes a perfect balance between "comfort" and "practicality". There is no excessive accumulation of internet celebrity elements, but sufficient effort has been put into bedding, hygiene, and service, which are the areas that most affect the accommodation experience.
